Toronto, ON January 17, 2021 – It is with great pleasure that we announce the extension of the partnership between the premier F1600 series in North America with Toyo Tires Canada for it’s 10th year. With the continuation of this business collaboration for another season, Toyo Tires Canada will remain the official tire and presenting sponsor of the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship for 2021.


For years F1600 racing has been the style of racing that has produced many of Canada’s most decorated road racing stars. It provides the most cost-effective form of entry level formula car competition for the aspiring young star and is an excellent destination series for racers looking for large grids and the closest open wheel-to-wheel racing in the country.


The Toyo Tires F1600 Championship series will kick off its season in June 2021. The official schedule includes six events – four at Canada’s leading racing facility in Canada, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP), one each at Shannonville Motorsport Park and Calabogie Motorsport Park.

About Toyo Tires F1600 Championship
The Toyo Tires F1600 Championship Series is a competitive, technologically advanced form of open wheel racing based in Ontario and sanctioned by the CASC, Ontario region. The Series features cars powered by both Ford and Honda motors and has two distinct classes, the “A” Class for the newest and most refined chassis and the “B” Class, for cars manufactured in 1994 or earlier.
