Round 3 took our Series to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the BARC Summer Trophy Races. In typical CTMP fashion we experienced 3 out of the 4 seasons all in one weekend! After sweltering heat on Friday, Saturday turned into a cooler but wet day with light rain dampening the track and drivers most of the day. This did not hamper the racing and our first race Saturday afternoon provided some very good but clean racing including a photo finish for 3rd place overall.
Race #1 A Class was won by Logan Pacza, with teammate Callum Baxter finishing second and by literally a nose Cole Janeteas finished third ahead of Sam Baker to take his first podium!
Race #1 B Class – 1st Steve Bodrug, 2nd Bill Tebbutt, 3rd Andrew Mason
As winner of the B Class in Race 1 Steve Bodrug also took home the Oliver Clubine Memorial Cup, presented by Oliver’s son David Clubine.
Race #2 Sunday morning dawned bright & sunny but did not go as well as Saturday with several full course caution laps involving the 3 leading cars. This resulted in a shake up to the podium for A class.
