The Toyo Tires F1600 Championship Series makes its return this coming weekend as the Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs – Ontario Region gets the field back to racing at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park! The first of six tentatively scheduled tripleheader events in the season ahead will be one of five rounds at CTMP, with a mid-August visit to newly renovated Shannonville Motorsport Park completing the lineup.
Closed to all but essential personnel, this weekend’s event will see a practice day Friday followed by practice, qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday, and Race 2 and Race 3 on Sunday. Sixteen drivers are set to see action, with just a pair of rookies in the 2020 field. Stalwarts Brian Graham Racing and Britain West Motorsports will be in the paddock once again with large-scale efforts, while the field is evenly split with eight cars each in A class and B class.
