Our final race weekend of the 2024 season took us to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the BEMC Late Summer Trophy Races. The weather was fantastic and the racing was spectacular despite both A & B championships being decided prior to this weekend.

Race 1 was very late in the day Saturday but did not disappoint the fans! After putting his car on pole Antonio Costantino exchanged the lead back and forth with Connor Clubine the entire race. Connor managed to win with a last lap pass but it was exciting to watch! The B class was hotly contested between several drivers with Steve Bodrug coming out on top.

Race 2 Sunday morning continued the very close but very fair racing all through out the field. In the end Connor Clubine claimed victory again and Steve Bodrug took the B class win. A couple of the top B cars had some mechanical issues which allowed other drivers to step on the podium.

Race 3 Sunday afternoon saw Antonio Costantino start on pole as a result of his fast lap from Race 2. He lead the entire race holding off Connor Clubine until the very last lap when Connor was able to make a pass for the lead. It was very close to the line! B Class was taken by Jason Sharpe with some great racing, taking away the sweep from Steve Bodrug.

The BEMC Volunteer Sportsman award as voted by BEMC was given to Mike Campbell - pit crew to #56 Kari Salo. Congratulations!!
