The first two rounds of the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship have been postponed due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
The annual BEMC Spring Trophy Race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park that was initially set for May 8-9 has been rescheduled for the CASC Celebration Event at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on October 3-4.
Also, the VARAC Vintage Grand Prix slated for June 19-21 has been cancelled. It is hoped that the event can be rescheduled later in the year.
With this announcement the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship is set to open its season at the BARC Canadian Touring Trophy Races on July 25-26 at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
Our first priority is the health and safety of our staff, team members, drivers and fans. We will continue to monitor all factors and work with tracks, clubs and the CASC-OR to modify the 2020 schedule as the Ontario government introduces its phases for reopening. We will communicate any re-scheduled race details in step with management of the race tracks and CASC-OR.
