The off season officially comes to an end this weekend as the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship Series helps kick off opening weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park! The 68th Annual British Empire Motor Club Spring Trophy Races bring together a full field of drivers for the first of six tripleheader race weekends on the 2018 schedule. After a Regional Test Day on Friday, teams and drivers will practice and qualify prior to Race 1 on Saturday before lining up for Race 2 and Race 3 on Sunday. Press time today sees 24 drivers registered, including seven young rookies making some of the first open-wheel starts of their careers mixed with seventeen veterans of the series. Point tallies have all reset to zero! See you at the track!
