Calabogie, ON (Aug 27, 2017) – Another beautiful morning at Calabogie Motorsports Park as 21 Toyo Tires Canada F1600 cars took to the track for their first official session of the weekend. FEL – Automotive Learning + Promotion Canadian Super Series points leader Parker Thompson Racing was fastest overall in the morning practice. In Saturday’s qualifying, Konrad Czacyk took the A Class pole by four hundredths of a second over Parker Thompson and Craig Willis took the B Class pole.
In Race 1, it was a clean sweep of the podium for the Exclusive Autosport team in the A Class Toyo Tires F1600 Championship. Parker Thompson Racing, Konrad Czaczyk and Jacob Astren. On the top step of the FEL – Automotive Learning + Promotion B Class podium was Craig Willis followed by Graham Lobban and David Graham.
The Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery & Distillery Masters award for Hard Charger went to Steve Bodrug.
Toyo Tires Canada F1600 drivers, Konrad Czaczyk and Craig Willis were the pole sitters for the A and B Classes for the second race of the Ted Powell Races at Calabogie Motorsports Park.
The podiums for race two of the weekend, of the Toyo Tires Canada F1600 Championship, for both A Class and the FEL – Automotive Learning + Promotion B Class were a repeat of yesterday. A Class – Parker Thompson Racing, Konrad Czaczyk and Jacob Astern. B Class – Craig Willis, Graham Lobban and David Graham.
A change in the 3rd step of the podium for race 3 of the Ted Powell Races at Calabogie Motorsports Park. A Class podium – Parker Thompson, Konrad Czaczyk and Didier Schraenen. Noel Castell earned the Wayne Gretzky Estates Winery & Distillery Masters Award for showing great improvement over the course of the weekend.
After four rounds at four different tracks the Championship of the FEL – Automotive Learning + Promotion Canadian Super Series was awarded to Parker Thompson driving for Exclusive Autosport.
